Acle Table Tennis Club was founded by a group of young men in 2005 after discovering the love for the game during lunch breaks at school. The Head PE noticed improvement in their technique and arranged a few matches with other local schools, which they won. Before leaving school they joined a local league - the Great Yarmouth and District Tennis League. This is Club's first season in the Great Yarmouth and District Table Tennis League. They are very enthusiastic and are learning fast from higher level players. One of the team's aims for the new season is to complete the tournament in high spirits with more experience. They are also looking for a local business for sponsorship and are setting up a website in order to find more people who are interested in the sport allowing them to put a second team in the League. New and interested people of all ages are welcome to drop in. The group meet at the Acle High School, on Tuesday nights, between 6.30pm and 9.00pm.
