| The Acle Society was formed in 1973 with the aim of fostering the community spirit, and to assist village organisation particularly in regard to publicity. The Society has sponsored the Annual Show of Produce and Craft since September 1973. The Produce and Craft Show is held at the Acle High School, South Walsham Road, Acle. The Show will open to the public at 2.30pm on Saturday 8th September 2007. There will be the normal large raffle, light refreshments, competitions, entertainment for children, displays etc. Schedules are now available from Cumpstey's, Wilkerson's, The Acle Post Office and The Acle Library. At the request of parents, the 9 - 16 year age group has been included this year, so please, Mums and Dads, do encourage your children to enter. Entries will be received at the School between 8.00pm and 8.45pm on Friday 7th September and between 9.30am and 11.30am on Saturday 8th September. Completed entry forms must be handed in with exhibits. Cups/trophies wil be presented at 4.00pm approximately, following which exhibits and prize cards may be removed. The show will conclude with an auction and it is hoped exhibitors will leave some items for sale to help offset the cost of staging the show.
