Acle Allotment Association Peter Barrall has retired as Secretary of the Acle Allotment Association. Susan Telford is the new Secretary, stelford@acle.norfolk.sch.uk. This year the allotments have added 5 new plots to the site to make a total of 32 and yet still have a very healthy waiting list. We are seeing more younger members join and we now have quite an age range with the number of women plot holders almost equalling the men. Also, we were invited to have a stand at the "Wild About Norfolk Day" at Acle High School and had a brilliant day with lots of enquiries and comments on all the lovely vegetables and flowers on display! We had our first ever Open Day this summer with over 50 people coming to see our allotments and buy our produce. The annual bbq goes from strength to strength and we are thinking of having a stall at the Christmas Acle farmer’s market.
