| 1st | Acle Library -- Easter Fairy Fair. 10.30am - 11.30am. Pop in for some fairy stories, fairy activities and fairy fun for all the family. Fancy dress optional. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. | |
| 6th | NCC Health Walks - meet in the Acle Rec Club carpark - walk commences 1.30pm - 2.1 miles (arrive early to register). | |
| 22nd | Herondale - coffee morning starting at 10.00am - Cakes ~ Raffle ~ Bric-a-Brac ~ Tombola ~ Books ~ Clothes -- A variety of refreshments will be available -- all made very welcome | |
| 25th | Come and experience a NEW form of relaxation: Sound Baths are being held at Upton Village Hall on Friday evenings, 25th April, 30th May and 27th June. Bring some cushions, a blanket, a foam mat or similar so you can lie on the floor while you're being 'bathed in sound' Admission £7. A five-week course focusing on the practical skills of the modern Archaeologist and featuring the study of famous excavations and ideas of dating and typology. There will also be the opportunity to take part on a community dig at the end of the course. 7 p.m. | |
| 22nd | St Edmund's Church - Concert Series - starting at 3.00pm with cream teas served in the Rectory Garden. 4.00pm Vaughan Williams 50th Anniversary Concert - musicians from Norfolk and Germany celebrate the music of the great English composer who died on August 26th 50 years ago. 4th | The Friends of Acle Primary School are holding their annual Grand Fete & BBQ. There will be a bar, bbq, auction, raffle and many stalls for all the family to enjoy. Admission 25p, Children under 5 free. |
| 4th | St Edmund's Church - Concert Series - 7.30pm Acle Primary and High School Pupils in Concert directed by Elaine Browne and Ian Shepherd - an evening of individual and collective musical talent presented by pupils from our schools here in Acle. 19th | 2nd Acle Beer and Music Festival - after such a success last year, this event will feature again live local bands playing from 4pm-11pm, food vendors onsite with a variety of hot and cold selections (curry stall, hog roast, etc), wine, cider, soft drins along with tea and coffee, and most important, 8 local ales. Venue - The Rectory Gardens, Acle! Tickets go on sale April so be quick as all tickets sold out early last year. Tickets only available at Acle Post Office. ** Please note** ID will be required. No alcohol to be brought into event and no dogs (except guide dogs). Profits are being donated to Church Funds, Acle Tuesday Youth Club, Great Yarmouth Samaritans. |
